Rod transfer

Selling, buying or gifting a ROF rod? Find the rod first to check it and see who it is registered to.

Option A

Tap the rod

Hold your phone against the NFC tag at the bottom of the rod.

On any phone you can also just tap the rod without opening this page: your phone opens the rod's ROF page, which has a "Rod & transfer" button.

Option B

Enter the serial number

Printed on the rod and on the warranty card, e.g. ROF-INT-M-000123 or CERT-…

How a transfer works

  1. The current owner finds the rod here, logs in and submits a transfer request with the new owner's details.
  2. ROF reviews and approves the request.
  3. The new owner gets an e-mail and accepts the rod in their ROF account.
  4. The rod keeps its serial number, NFC tag, certificate, first registration date and remaining warranty.

Knowing a serial number or tapping a rod shows which rod it is. It never moves ownership on its own.
